Siraj to T Chanderpaul, out Caught by Dhruv Jurel!! A strangle down leg and India have struck early. Unlucky for Chanderpaul, but his tendency to shuffle across has cost him dear, short of a length and angling into the left-hander - Chanderpaul shuffled across on the tuck, he's undone by the extra bounce and the ball catches the glove on its way to the keeper. Jurel dives to his right and completes a neat catch. First wicket of the home season and it goes to Siraj. T Chanderpaul c Dhruv Jurel b Siraj 0(11)

@shivnotout

He got a nice juicy half volley in the over before and blocked it.

That was a ball to put away, get off the mark and put pressure back on the bowler.

But yet again we see with this guy that there is ZERO intent to score.

@shivnotout

What data was used from the three games Tage played to select him?

Was he scoring runs in local cricket in Guyana?

@WIForever

Was he preparing for this tour, or was he surprised to be selected?

Before the tour, Chanderpaul was playing league cricket in Orlando Florida, I do not know the standard of cricket there, how prepared could he be for Test cricket?

Seems like a selection to bury him permanently ... sad
