Any hint of Sammy's name in a thread and Jockieboy shows up guns blazing. Just an observation...but I digress big grin.

Our cricketers have been notorious since BCL's captaincy days of not adjusting quickly enough to conditions and having a really bad opening match with gradual improvement as they adapt.

This has been discussed ad nauseam here, with many clamoring for more warm-up matches. The team has also been called the dead rubber team ad nauseam right here.

Anyway, it is quite predictable and normal for people here to sit with their knives hidden to come out and blame Sammy for everyting that ails Windies cricket.

Bishop invariably adopts a balanced perspective...even like most of us ...he has own biases. Team missing both Josephs..that is tough. That said, the batting has been the real issue.

@Cheeks

So why make two inexperienced individuals coach/chief of all formats and DOC?

Sometimes management takes a shot on a fresh new approach. Maybe they're thinking they need younger talent to identify with the current age and mindset of the players. The 'old' approach has not worked either. I actually respect their effort to think outside the box a bit. If it works then genius, if it doesn;t ..then major flop. In my mind it is a bit early to tell.

As many here have advocated, regional cricket has to start at the primary school level..so that the players who make it to senior level have the fundamentals covered...and then the cream will rise to the top despite who is coach and president.

At present, the coaching staff can only optimize what's in front of them.

Look!!! People don't want to accept it despite all the noise, but, that group who won us our first T20 wordcup largely underachieved otherwise and after the nonsense that emerged after they retired...I can kind of see why.

Sextillion seems like he literally hated/ hates DJB. Werl Boss callin Sarwan snake in the grass..and this is happening on social media. To me it speaks to a lack of maturity and judgment that was impeding their performance as a team. Then consider the fact that their union was led by a chair pelter.

I will not be surprised that the hatred of Sammy helped to serve as a bit of a unifying force...a new central target to hate. smile
