Hamas accepts ceasefire plans, to release hostages

Sat, Oct 4, '25 at 5:46 PM
• Trump urges swift action: US President Donald Trump is keeping pressure on both Israel and Hamas to move forward with his Gaza ceasefire plan. Trump says Israel has agreed to an initial withdrawal line, and that a ceasefire would be “immediately effective” if Hamas also approves.

• What each side is saying: Hamas says it’s ready to enter negotiations for the release of all hostages but has stopped short of accepting Trump’s proposal unconditionally. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed optimism that all hostages will be released within days.

• US delegation: Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner are traveling to Egypt for discussions on the proposal, according to two US officials.

• In Gaza: Despite Trump’s assertion that Israel had “temporarily stopped” bombing the enclave, dozens of people were killed Saturday in Israeli strikes, according to information from Gaza’s hospitals.

Hopefully with ceasefire will stop the killing of innocent women and children but do not like the inclusion that Gaza to be controlled by Independent group, headed by Trump.
