Cricket West Indies has announced the squads for the three (3) One Day Internationals and three (3) T20 International matches against Bangladesh from October 18 -31 in Dhaka and Chattogram, respectively.
Following a fourth consecutive home series triumph, with the recent victory against Pakistan, the Bangladesh series will be the penultimate ODI series of the year for the regional squad, providing an opportunity for continuity in preparation for the ICC Men’s World Cup in 2027, with the nucleus of the squad being retained from the previous series.
Former West Indies Under-19 captain and Academy member, Ackeem Auguste, has been rewarded with a maiden call-up to the ODI squad as a replacement for Evin Lewis, who is recovering from a wrist injury and ruled out of the tour.

Khary Pierre is obviously well liked.
Unsure why they couldn’t find a place for a single wrist spinner in either squad.
Especially seeing that Pierre, Motie, and Hosein are effectively the same type of bowlers.

@Edrich
What kind of experience Brandon King has, in freeloading?
I see no Jewel Andrew but assume he will be with the U-19 squad preparing for the WC next year.
Hetmeyer will follow Pooran. I think Sammy should cut him loose and invest in someone else who is more committed.

They are not there to please you, their job is to select the best possible team.

Motara isn't ready as yet and I don't say it disparagingly.
Hopefully one for the future.
Bidaisee, some more time and scrutiny required

Good team.....Team will be better prepared for Bangladesh series...few playing in India...others in Chennai kings facility....
Preparation is key.....to success...
CWI and Head Coach and Sole selector should be more focused on it rather than divering the real issue.

I have high hopes for Auguste...I saw him do 2 consecutive cover drives off Amir in one of the CPL matches and since then I have been following his batting with interest. Some of his shots against Nepal were spectacular.
My first ODI 11 would be:
1. King
2. Athanaze
3. Auguste
4. Carty/Jangoo
5. Hope
6. Chase
7. Rutherford
8. Greaves
9. Motie
10. Shamar/Shepherd
11. Seales

Seems West Indies is trying to adopt the India, all format players model, or are they? They seem a little confused.

@velo
Yes but,
Apart from Chase being an offie and him an orthodox left arm, they both are economical and wickets takers.
WI still looking for a good leftarm (preferably) wrist spinner
