Any changes to starting XI for tonight’s match?

Thu, Oct 9, '25 at 7:17 PM

I’m thinking 27 will double down and select the same XI

i heard that it was reported that the rationale for selecting Layne in the first test is that they thought he would get more bounce than the other seam bowlers.

This pitch is reported to be “batting friendly”. If that’s the case, 27 MIGHT decide to go with the other seamer instead of Layne to do the grunt work.

@imusic

That’s a VOResque excuse for Anderson Philip bro LOL

Nevertheless he really should’ve played the first Test!!! He’s probably the fastest bowler we have and I’m hoping him and Seales can bowl in tandem!!!

Team for tonight:

Chanderpaul

Campbell

King

Athanaze

Hope

Chase

Greaves

Imlach

Warrican

Seales

Anderson Phillip.

We will struggle to take 20 wickets with or without the bowlers we have there so just bring in the extra batsman/wkpr so Hope can focus on his batting.

@voiceofreason

you guys really believe in Hope. However, if the bowling is weak, in my opinion the better move is to improve the bowling, not weaken it.

@WIfan26

At this point, immaterial if Phillip plays or not. It won’t make a difference to the end result.

Right now he should just aspire to be the Deo of this generation. The perennial aqua engineer.

@dayne

How do you suggest we improve it with what we have on tour?

Jeddiah Blades yet to play a Test match, Johann Layne played 1 match, Khary Pierre is not a test bowler. Hard to say any combination of bowlers taking 20 wickets , unless Jayden does something special, but he will need help.

Ironically WI kill for a Deonarine right now I bet Devon Smith is cursing himself he wasn’t born a couple decades later LOL

@voiceofreason

You whine about him not playing the first test and now he gets a chance to play with the series still in play you still whining.

@imusi

having Cambell on the team, is like swimming across the Caribbean Sea, holding a bag of rocks.

@Edrich

We all hope…..I suspect including you, that he comes good in this match

Shocking the King was dropped, the only WI batter to score a half century in the last series against Australia

Thu, Oct 9, '25 at 11:47 PM

@dayne

Deserves to be dropped. His form in Odis, Tests has been abysmal. Just surprised Sammy pulled the plug now.
