20 people murdered in seven days – Bloodiest

Sun, Oct 12, '25 at 8:10 PM

... bloodiest week for the year in TnT

A RECENT increase in homicides held steady with seven murders within 24 hours in the eastern quadrant of Trinidad, sparking growing fears among law-abiding people in the midst of a state of emergency.

Remember when every single murder in that country was plastered here as a headline replete with comments by a certain poster? He shall remain nameless as he needs no introduction.

Every day we were regaled on these pages with the gory details and the comments of paid bloggers and bots, all with the intention of supporting his party election efforts.

The silence is deafening now!

We heard no comments from that poster when his party won and within 3 months, tens of thousands were put on the breeadline. Virtually all boards were replaced with party hacks and members of the "tribe".

The newspaper comments are now filled with racist rants of triuphalism, mainly from said tribe. Those comments could not be reproduced here without being banned. Perhaps that is why said poster is so silent now on political matters in TnT?

I remember him doing posts critical of the Dragon gas deal with Venezuela. Now that his Queen seeks to claim it, there is no commentary.

That posters' perpetual flooding of this message board with negativity and gloom under the pretense of patriotism and support for the country is now blatantly exposed for what it was.

Pure political and tribal Tomfoolery.

@Halliwell

I have been in Trinidad for the last 3 weeks and would probably be here for another 5 weeks.

People are going about their business as usual...In my neck of the woods in south...life is still typically slow paced....the absolute worst thing here is the heat...single unit room AC is worthless.

UNC boasts...when UNC win everybody win....man I listened to the entire budget a few days ago...I will try to listen to the debate in Parliament which I believe starts tomorrow.

Well it seems de criminals still winning so far

The government can't do in a few months what Rowley and his co-horts couldn;t do in 10 years,don't forget they are doing well enough so far,remember this was a spike that always seem to happen around this time.I would like to see the "stand your ground" law passed soon,just shoot the home invaders in the head when yuh see them climbing over the fence.

The govt.. has cut all the contract work which was run like a racket with PNM MPs giving jobs to friends of Rowley's government,people lost their jobs but the racket done,those jobs are to be made permanent as far as i read.Don't forget the new government is carrying out its work with an inherited almost empty Treasury,a "black hole".It wasn't a joke that the Rowley government lost 100000 votes,voters were fed up that after 10 years they got fuck all right,give the woman a chance.
