WI is good in low scoring games.. Should have won atleast one test at home against Australia. Umpiring probably let you down along with your own fielding. They lose the plot in high scoring games.
Ungrateful Yardies. Sammy promoted John Campbell and Brandon King, when Coley ignored them.
The two wins that WI recently won were pure lottery pitches. Nothign to do with coaching. They won the toss in Pakistan. That is like winning half the match.
@voiceofreason
What did you say?
Andre Coley, selected non yardie players over Brandon King and Campbell.
Well that showed that Coley who happens to be a Yardie was more focused on picking the best eleven at the time instead of picking his own home boys........much unlike Sammy.
@Trex
I don't think Sammy should have given the job to coach the test team
However, WI problems are bigger than any coach.
Our test players do not get enough playing time to perfect their skills
@Larr Pullo
Not flying any flag after that beating in India.
518 for 5 is not to be celebrated or seen in a positive light.
Sammy should never have been there to begin with. The biggest problem in WI cricket is and has never been the players or the likes of Sammy. The problem has always been the little kings who have owned and managed West Indies cricket. All men with little brain and little other body parts whose egos are much bigger than anything else. Most of them have never truly achieved anything significantly in their lives. As with all little men, they are shortsighted and vindictive. Just yesterday I watched a replay of the highlights of the historic 418 chase and watched first Lara then Sars then Chanderpaul bat from the heart. Chanders made a hundred batting in pain with either a badly injured or broken finger. I watched his pride and grit and then I thought of the many times he has stood up. I remember him making a hundred after he was knocked unconscious. And then I thought of how this great warrior was treated by the kings of cricket commonly known as WICB or CWI, and then we want to know why the players look after themselves first. The late Bernard Julian's son spoke about how his father was treated. And it goes on and on. I will repeat something I have said and written many times. CWI is a private company or club. It is not owned by the West Indies people or governments on our behalf. It is not a regional organisation like CARICOM or OECS. The players are employed by a private company. They are employees just like if you work for any other private company. They have a right to seek better employment and better benefits just like the rest of us. Until this structure changes nothing will change.
@Trex
In fact it showed he was one-dimensional, unable to think outside the box.

@voiceofreason
Not sure how picking the best eleven no matter the nationalities is unable to think out the box.
Please explain.
@Trex ,
who are the players that Sammy picked that should not make the test team ."
.
@Trex
Sammy picked the best XI regardless of nationality and format. That is the difference. He did not limit himself to R4D , red ball vs white ball nonsense when we simply do not have enough quality to categorize or limit players based on specialty.
Ok next stop Vindication!
