West Indies team just doesn’t seem to have any

Tue, Oct 14, '25 at 2:39 PM

West Indies team just doesn’t seem to have any personality. Cricket is first and foremost still a sport, sport’s figures need to display and believe in a certain self-indestructability, self-identity. They walk out to bat and each seems a clone of his predecessor, mechanically programmed robots, very little improvisational flair, and every stroke by a book written with someone else in mind.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul was a success; he followed his own book, so for Lara, Roy Fredericks, Rohan Kanhai… spots needs personalities. World boss, love him or not he had personality. Right now I cant even remember the name of Dr ? Who – who tried to drive World boss out of WI cricket in favor of Sammy… but that’s the ethos of WI hierarchy - the beat goes on.

 If you walk pass a house twice and the dogs bark at you each time, it is quite reasonable to infer that if you pass again the dogs will bark

They miss a superstar for sure. Most of them just play just T20 or retired.

@birdseye

They are no match winners. You are right. No one on this team worries the opposition.
