i don't know much about japanese politics but it a country that is conservative surrounding women and their roles in society especially within the older generation . the fact she reached that far is a achievement

Not the main point. It is always interesting to me that very conservative women who claw their way to the top always support policies that make it hard for majority of women to succeed. Hopefully xenophobia won't deprive Japanese women with the kinda men (misfits) they may prefer to marry😁
