Rely on Athanaze for bowling full quota would be mistake....in 3rd match....
Last 10 overs...West Indies conceded 82 runs...with batters 6,7,8,9....on this pitch...
On a dirty pitch like this it was a masterstroke. It also elongated the batting line up.. chuck-out Rutherford and being in Jango. You can put away BD easily
Athanaze was just lucky. Is unlikely to be so lucky again. Having said that, there is nothing wrong with him working on his bowling a la Joe Root so that he can offer something different even at test level when needed. As a previous poster said, WI need to be concerned that in both matches, the tail wagged desperately for Bangla. That means that batting first and putting up a decent score will not be mean that the match is in the bag.
