Mehidy Hasan Miraz to Akeal Hosein, FOUR, lovely use of the feet, tossed up and Akeal Hosein comes down the track to gets to the pitch of the ball, lofts over mid-off and it's nearly all the way, one bounce over the ropes, such a clean hit

@natty_forever

Guess

That's what most of the WI batsmen were doing 😔

I blame this whole thing on Brandon King though.

It seems like every time the facter top scores (oops, sorry. Every time he scores double figures) we end up losing.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz to Justin Greaves, out Caught by Nurul Hasan!! Fine catch down leg. Three balls in a row there, turns and Justin Greaves with a healthy deflection, Nurul Hasan anticipates nicely, goes to his left, hangs on with his left glove. Clearly out and umpire Masudur Rahman has the finger up. Greaves walks off to leave West Indies nine-down.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz to Akeal Hosein, out Bowled!! Mehidy Hasan Miraz ends this with a fine delivery. it's a sharp turner, pitches middle-stump and then turns square, past the back foot defence of Akeal Hosein who is surprised. Still can't believe that it has found the off-stump. Bangladesh have hammered West Indies here to take the series.

 Akeal Hosein b Mehidy Hasan Miraz 27(15) [4s-4 6s-1]

A team makes less than 300 and the other team loses by close to 180 runs:

  1. the losing team did not get enough cricket before this game.
  2. the coach is being given paltry players by the selectors.
  3. the coach isn't doing right by the selector given the "astuteness" of the selector in handpicking the players.
  4. the coach and the selector need to have a sit down and decide which of them should be faulted and removed for this debacle.

Shai Hope | West Indies captain:
Yeah, you said it. We obviously would have wanted to win this series, but it didn't happen for us today. It's been a tough series for us, especially as batters, but things to always learn from. Yeah, credit must be given to their openers, especially in the beginning there. It's been tough hours for the batters in general in the series, but we must give credit to those batters who came out and really showed that impetus at the beginning of the innings. I don't think we bowled as particularly well as we could, but yeah, these are things that we've got to be really critical of with our players. When we play in series like this, in conditions like this. But yeah, they batted really well and they bowled well and put us under pressure. It was very difficult to pull the game back and get back in. It was tough. I still think it was like a 170-180 surface. If you give them so many runs, it forces batters to chase, it's going to be difficult. But having said that, regardless of what they spoil you for, we've got to try to find a way to make the runs. If the bowler doesn't do it in a particular situation, then batters have got to raise their hand and we didn't do that as batters today. Yeah, you've got to correct that quickly too because they've got a T20 series coming up on a different surface in Chattogram. Yeah, most definitely. It's a different series, different format, same mindset. You've got to make sure you come down here to win games. Every single game, I always say, is very important. But again, you've got to get to Chattogram and see what the surface is like. Adapt, assess and hopefully we can play better cricket in that series.
