He is not good enough to be an all- format player. A bits n pieces Man, but I like Roston, but he is just not good enough in any facet to be commanding a space in all formats.
Sammy needs to look at Chase's position going forward.

Really?
While I agree with you.....on Chase... I also agree on this:
Sammy needs to look at SAMMY'S position going forward.
@FunnyMan
Sammy just got here. This year he was appointed all-format coach cause of the progress he made with the ODI team. Give him some time to work.
However I warned him over and over that the opening pair was failing us in particular Brandon King but he persisted with him. His move to make now.
@4REALQUICKS
The team is in position for auto qualification for the ODI World cup. This series was an anomaly as it was played on un-sportsmanlike pitches that favored the home team. All the talk about fire head Coach is premature as it was just this year Sammy was given the all-format Coach position.
@voiceofreason
No.1 - Joshua Da Silva should have been in the test side.
No.2 - Tevin Imlach should have been the test keeper, NOT Shai Hope.
No.3 - Chase is far from an all format player, everybody knows that.
No.4 - A few other players, not just Da Silva, were arguably wrongly overlooked for test selection.
No.5 - Going forward, sticking with Chase is a very questionable pick as a test skipper...he does not even merit a place in the side, despite how weak they currently are. Will Sammy change this..?
Roston Chase is not under attack here, I like the guy as a character and as a player. However, test cricket is the most important format (all you kiddie cricket whack-a-ball lovers can say what you want īģŋđīģŋ)
His recent returns, albeit against two of the better test sides, are very poor.
vs India 65 runs avg 16, 5 wkts avg 41
vs Australia 114 runs avg 1, wkts 1 avg 70
Defenders of Sammy will claim that he has only (fairly) recently been the all-format coach. That much is true...but remember...he has hardly been setting the cricketing world alight with his white ball teams has he..?

Please post last game's scorecard. Let's see how King Fared/Failed relative to the other 6 batters. You could also post the series stats...maaan even mangy, homeless dogs have shame! They know when to put tail between. legs and run.
@Brerzerk
King's modus operandi is one good score per series. He therefore batted on par for his relatively low standards. The point is that King opens the batting and therefore has the best chance to dig in and make runs and he generally does not take advantage of that. So the first question must be whether he should be an ODI opener. If not, he then fights up with Carty, Rutherford and the rest for a spot in the middle
@PalsofMine
@voiceofreason
And he's the only opener and only failing opener right? I hold no brief for any of these players but the targeting, double-standard and insularity is "strange."
WI whole admin is foolish. Early edition King and Allen could have been developed into useful test batters. Campbell could've been an entrenched ODI opener by now. You could find the same for other regional teams.
