Anguilla 50/2 after 13 chasing 263 vs Montserrat.

Montserrat - contrasting 70's by opener Joshua Grant off 118 balls and allrounder Hayden Walsh Jr 70* off 52 8x4,2 x6. Fastbowler Landerfort 10 overs 4/51.

Good game developing as Anguilla's Jahmar Hamilton is yet to bat.

Montserrat log their first victory with a big win over Anguilla by 84 runs. Anguilla 178/10 have lost both of their games. Happy for Montserrat as it looks like that move from Antigua to Montserrat by Walsh Jr has paid off as it was his 70 off 52 and 10 overs 3/25 that was the difference between the two sides. Walsh Jr could be a handy allrounder but batting first.

St. Kitts also made light work of St. Maarten winning by 103 runs, with a big total 252/8 behind Mikyle Louis' 115 OFF 129 and his Brother Jerimiah's 45* off 29.St.Maarten collapsed to 149/10 after 46.2, with 3 wickets from Cameron Pennyfeather and 2 from Tilokani.

Top performers of this round:

St. Kitts: Mikyle Louis 115 off 129.

Montserrat: Walsh Jr 70 off 52 and 3/25 off 10.

Antigua: Micah Mckenzie 5.3 overs 7/17.

Special mention - Anguilla: Chamiqeko Landefort 10 overs 4/51.

As soon as Duke sees a player mentioned, he checks Cricket archives for the player's history, ignoring the fact that some of us are attute fans.

The last one was on Seymour, who, in the last few years of his International career, had two doubles, one against Australia and the next, which was his last test inning in New Zealand.

Seymour Macdonald Nurse has a higher test record than Guyana's greatest

Good check on VoR and Dukes. Cummins regional record is superior to many bowlers during his period.

The above is FALSE

In addition to posting all the relevant facts I have been blessed with a phenomenal memory which I would suggest is superior to most people I know. Those who know me well would confirm it is not an idle boast.

I have been following cricket since 1965 when the Australians came to the Caribbean and even though over the past 15 years I have not followed cricket as closely as, prior to that I was fanatical in my cricket follow-up.

  1. Anderson Cummings was significantly slower than both Linden Joseph and Kenneth Benjamin
  2. .AC for Barbados had 53 wickets at 26.81 apiece. His best bowling for Barbados was 4-26.LJ for Guyana took 67 wickets @27.74. with 2 Five wicket hauls. KB for the Leewards took 136 wickets @22.80 with 5 five wicket hauls
  3. In 1992 for that season in the WI,Cummings took 9 wickets at 26.66 while both LJ and KB took 33 wickets at 17 and 20 respectively
  4. I am asking you to retract your statement or show me how your statement is FACTUAL

As to Opening's assertion that I just look at stats with no reference to context,I find that laughable coming from him.

He states that Seymour Nurse has a higher record than Kanhai which is true if you are looking at their final test averages.Kanhai's test average is 47.53 and Nurse 47.60.

Here is the missing context

Nurse at the end of the Australian tour in 1968-69 had played 26 test matches and had scored 4 test centuries and had an average of 40.94.In 3 tests in New Zealand he scored 558 runs at an average of 111.60 and his overall average shot up to 47.60.Kanhai played 79 test matches and during the period 1958-1968 scored more test runs than everybody apart from Sobers. I would not dignify a debate about which of those two is better except to point out that Roger Harper my very good friend has a bowling average of 28.07 compared to Lance Gibbs who has a bowling average of 29.09

Mon, Oct 27, '25 at 6:50 PM

I was asked previously if Seymour was a great player. I said no, he did not qualify because of the number of test matches he played.

Anyone that have seen Barbados' middle order batsman will agree with me, he is the fourth best.

Weekes

Walcott

Worrell

Nurse.

I never rate Sir Gary

I also think it would be insulting to compare him to Rohan; the fans in the Kensington stand would drive me out of the ground.

The first match I saw the love with him. The fans argued over who was better between Gary and Rohan. A few years later, I saw Rohan stop traffic in Bridgetown, as he was going to watch Empire vs Spartan.

I learned to score when I was 13 years old, in the Australian series in 1960.

My best friend's mom, who had cerebral palsy, would sit up all night, score ball by ball and send the sheet to me daily.

My love for the game started in 1957, the English tour..

Good check on VoR and Dukes. Cummins regional record is superior to many bowlers during his period.

Dukes, I posted that AC record is superior to many bowlers during his period, and this is true.

His record is not superior to KB., But many others including LJ

According to Cricinfo AC is statistically better than LJ(26.71 to29.75) even if my source is incorrect and we use your, by sheer number AC is ahead of LJ.

Rohan is a better bat than Seymour, but when he is in full cry will perform at the level of Rohan and Garry.

Lastly, I also think that I had a photographic memory, until a professor told the class that every time that you memorialized a BB stats, that is 1 (24x108 beam that you will forget)

His record is not superior to KB.

So why boycott a test match if KB is selected ahead of AC????

Rohan Kanhai scored a memorable innings of 252 for the touring West Indians against Victoria in a first-class cricket match held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) from November 18-22, 1960.

This was the fourth first-class match of the West Indies' 1960-61 tour of Australia. Kanhai's dominating performance, which many observers rated as one of the greatest innings ever seen, was a key factor in the West Indians winning the match by an innings and 171 runs.

During this innings, Kanhai notably invented his famous "falling hook" shot (also known as a falling sweep), a flamboyant stroke that became his trademark. His aggressive batting was a major highlight of the tour, during which he set a record for the most first-class runs scored by a West Indian batsman in Australia (1,093 runs at an average of 64.29).

BTW That innings of 252 was so memorable that it made the New York Times, a newspaper not known for covering first class cricket in Australia, between a team from the Caribbean and a state team in Australia!!!!!!

@Dukes

do you think when Bajans boycotted they considered the first class bowling averages of Cummins and Benjamin?

did Cummins or Benjamin play any international cricket for WI prior to this test match?
