Melissa recorded as most powerful hurricane

Mon, Oct 27, '25 at 9:40 PM

As the powerful Category 5 storm approaches Jamaica, for the first time ever NOAA Hurricane hunters had to abort their flight in the eye of the hurricane due to extreme turbulence.

Melissa was recording a mind boggling 241 mph wind gust in the eye of powerful hurricane today, October 27, 2025, making this the most powerful hurricane on record or in history.

We have to pray for Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti, Bahamas and other Northern Caribbean countries, considering the expectations of severe damage to infrastructures and possible loss of lives.

Jamaica is now inundated with numerous news media from various countries around the world, including: CNN, BBC, CBC in Canada, Al Jazeera, ABC, Fox and many other news outlets.

@Chrissy

As per CNN, Category 5 Hurricane Melissa is about to make landfall in Jamaica. Melissa is so powerful it will reshape Jamaica for years to come and could trigger a humanitarian disaster. Jamaica has never taken a hit from a Category 5, with a UN agency describing it as the β€œstorm of the century.”
