FINGER & WRIST SPINNER

Interesting

@imusic

Since his debut in 2021, Motie has been West Indies' third highest wicket-taker across formats

This is why he should be given a run.

@Seechy

I am a big fan of Motie but he really needs to play a full FC season and his captain has to give him the ball, rather than just bowl Permaul all the time. Motie seems to be suffering from a crisis of identity right now. Is he a spinner or is he a white ball slow bowler. Until he can sort that out, he will continue to be much less effective than he should be.

Dat doesn't fit into Gawd Sammy's plan

A better plan would be to play for St. Lucia Kings next year CPL 🀣

@WIfan26

Send him to the arm forces.

I find this approach to be very interesting.

At the moment, don’t recall a bowler that bowled various styles within the genre at the international level.

I know Sobers bowled seam and left arm orthodox at international level.

But I can’t think of anyone bowling finger and wrist spin at that level.

Good luck to him. Eagerly looking out for his progress.

@imusic

He needs some time off to hone, his bowling skills. He also have to introduce some variations, to his arsenal.

@imusic

I too will like to see him continue these exploits and succeed with it

@imusic

Motie is worthy of a pic.

I am all for improving and trying things.

More Power to him.

HIs temperament for me is one of his best assets.

Without realising his potential as left arm spinner ability..he is trying too many different things.....

Just become top class left arm spinner.....then try something different....

Too many different ideas.....

Has he rass catastrophically failed in 4 years?

Tests - 27.02 ave

ODIs - 31.47 ave

T20Is - 27.13 ave

Plus third-highest wicket taker across formats. Those stats don't suggest failure to me, yet bannuhs wanna end he career. This is how West Indies have always treated their spinners - dropped and cast aside after one poor season!

The GREAT Shane Warne had a poor year in Test cricket between 1998 to 1999 - 12 wickets at an average of 57.08. Did Australia cast him aside and select another spinner? Or did they persist with him and allow him to become the greatest spinner of all time.

Our premiere spinner has a poor 2024-25 and he skunt deserves a drop in a piss poor team? Jeez man.
