i am happy for Auguste. Special talent? I seem to have heard that phrase in relation to Jordan Johnson, Kirk McKenzie, Teddy Bishop, et all as well. Where are they now? A special talent is recognised on this board after one good score. Even the Athanaze special talent after 3 years of international cricket has never strung together 2 consecutive 50s or one sole century. My take is that these people should be identified and harnessed to see if they can reach international standard, ie a minimum FC average of 40, rather than be blown out of proportion in our desperation

Auguste was not an summer splash like McKenzie and Teddy. He has been coming on gradually, constantly improving. But there is obvious class there. And he is certainly not as loose as the likes of Athanaze and Teddy
