Would Bidaisee have been

Sun, Nov 2, '25 at 5:18 PM

1) ...a better option than to have toured Bangladesh with Motie, thereby providing valuable experience for the up and coming wrist spinner?

2) When did management finally realize that Motie's deep in form was due to technical deficiencies?

3) Could remedial help have been available in the West Indies had he not toured?

To me...Bidiasee is real deal...a batter use feet against spin...a leggie with wrong one...harness..

WI fans are high on Bidaisee. but in the upcoming 50-overs tournament it is going to be interesting to see if he will be included in the final eleven of the Trinidad team. In my opinion he still has to improve his bowling, he spins the ball from the front of the hand, at the international level most batters will not be bothered

in hindsight, yes to all😀

@Onionman0

maybe he is better off playing the super50 series and getting in some longish spells to gain control and confidence? We are killing ourselves over a wrist spinner and ignoring that we have no up and coming offspinner worth spit

WI cricket might be affected by the cancelling of the two teams from the regional competition. Over the last 5 years players from the CCC or WI Academy have gone on to be selected for the WI team without ever playing for their national teams. The national teams tend to select more known players over the upcoming young players.

@dayne

Cancelling of Academy team in particular is a travesty. I know we have cashflow issues but this is very shortsighted. Academy was an important bridge for the U19 players to senior cricket

He may well be except that is is untried.

Would be good to have a good wrist spinner in the West Indies but let's him get some miles in his feet in the super50
