Neesham to Shai Hope, FOUR, smashed! Short of length delivery and Hope is waiting for that, clears his front leg and nails the pull wide of long-on, one bounce and over the ropes. The short straight boundary almost gave Hope the maximum

Santner to Roston Chase, SIX, fabulous shot! Nothing much wrong with the delivery. Tossed up around off, Chase gives himself room and lofts it with the spin over extra cover.

20:57 Local Time, 07:57 GMT, 13:27 IST: It’s not a huge total but West Indies might just have got themselves to a par score here. They were 66/3 at the halfway stage but a strong finish - 98 runs in the last 10 overs - has given them something to defend. King fell in the very first over and there were no substantial contributions from Athanaze or Auguste. Shai Hope, after a cautious start, found his rhythm and stitched together a valuable stand with Roston Chase. Hope reached his fifty before departing and then Rovman Powell took charge, injecting much-needed momentum into the innings. New Zealand’s bowlers struck a couple of late blows to prevent a final flourish, ensuring the total didn’t get out of hand. The pitch isn’t exactly a batting paradise, so the hosts will need to apply themselves smartly if they’re to chase this one down. Back soon with the chase..
