I did not see the game but look at Forde's figures in his first 3 overs: 1/9 so I could understand why any Captain would go back to him:

Forde hadn't played any competitive cricket since July, but showed no signs of rust in a brilliant opening burst. He bowled beautifully with the new ball, especially from around the wicket to trouble Devon Conway with deadly swing.

That is the nature of this format, Hero one minute, Villian the next, however 3 overs 1/9 is what created the pressure and the subsequent collapse. Posters like Halliwell know better but their hate for Sammy knows no bounds, even though Shai is clearly in control of the onfield decision making.
