We won

But this was far from convincing.

This is the difference between teams like India and Australia, and us. They know how to finish games off, and we on the other hand, went out of our way to try and lose this.

New Zealand will come back strong tomorrow, and these lapses if they recur, can seriously cost us

it was dicey at the end don't understand the reason to bowl forde he is good with new ball when it hard and swings but at the back end he struggles with his baby pace

So now we know

@velo

Forde went 1/9 after 3 overs I can understand why they would go back to him. That spell created the pressure that put us in a dominating position to begin with.

@voiceofreason

That's a good analytical post, VOR.

Shows that you can be 'rational' when not influenced by 27.

Got myself set up and ready to watch. Fell asleep and never saw a ball! Woke up still sleepy so frustratingly went back to sleep.

Don't read too much into end overs. Santner was in nothing to lose situation.He got some solid connection. Won't happen every day. I remember NZ almost hunted down 350 against India bracelets scoring 140 and santner scoring 60bor something. When players are in nothing to lose situation they can do these things

@jnaveen

Let’s see if we can swing desperately on the end overs. Right?

Don't get carried away, as even a broken clock is right twice daily.

Even Ray Charles and Stevie wonder can see that Forde should have bowled out at the top.

The fact that he did not demonstrated Scammy's lack of cricket IQ.

Everyone knows that Scammy sets fields and bowling changes.

Scammy had bowlers bowling short to a man hammering short balls.

Yet the pitched up balls were doing the job.
