Perhaps that Guptill move may well reap dividends. New Zealand will come back stronger tonight but if we win that match it will be a wonderful start to the series.

Remember NZD is ranked 4 about 11 points ahead of us where we are at 6. We could pass South Africa.

Even home series we start with a win. But I think a lot of it has to do with momentum. Now we have to keep it up and hope the guys dont get fatigue cause rhwae t20s coming hot and fast.

This is precisely why all the brouhaha after the series defeat to Nepal was agenda driven, ignoring all context and much ado about nothing.

The purpose for the tour was stated from the onset. However CWI should have known the sensationalism this defeat would arouse.

(Note: A critical aspect of how large corporations are run is, how it manages its various publics, the ability build goodwill ,which is an asset, and to forsee and be proactive in avoiding pitfalls, thereby mitigate and doing damage control as is necessary; this I entirely a business concept)

I hold Hetmyer as partly responsible for the series defeat. I think some effort was made to have a blend of youth and experience on showcase - a reasonablestrength squad. Alas, his immaturity once again came to the fore.

But it wasn't all in vain though, as both Jangoo and Auguste were blooded in from this tour. Bedaisee and Simmons didn't disgrace themselves either and got a lookin for the future.
