The ONLY way Jangoo plays in this regime is if the keeper is either injured or not playing.

If they do drop King, someone else will partner Athanaze, maybe Hope, and Rutherford will come back into the starting XI to replace King.

But West Indies management team are so pedantic and predictable with their strategy.

The insist on the left / right opening combination. The only viable alternative right handed batter to King on the squad is Hope.

And they’re loathe to have Hope open the innings. For some reason they even made Jewel Andrew and then Kevlon Anderson, both on debut, open and bat out of position for West Indies, rather than have Hope open.

Jangoo is obviously not highly thought of. Auguste has leap frogged him in the pecking order. One could be forgiven that Jangoo scored a century on debut.

Put ideas of Jangoo playing out allyuh head. He is Shai Hope’s understudy and that is that.
