Motie is indeed in a slump over the past series of 11 matches. CWI sending him to work out the problems of late with an eye on the WC in Asia is a good thing. .Rebuilding his confidence is key to WI chances. The coaches obviously noticed something bowling action change on the videos to which we the fans have no access..

If what has been reported is accurate that Motie is also working on developing and diversifying himself as a wrist spinner, whilst VERY INTERESTING, one has to wonder if it’s also having a negative effect on his bowling.

Ya'll really believe everything CWI say? Don't be so gullible. Working on Motie's action now? Why not work on him a year ago when the slump first started? It's all just an excuse for dropping him. First of all they said they "resting him" because of all the upcoming white ball international matches. Resting him my ass, he was dropped, because I don't see him playing any white ball internationals right now is he??? He was dropped plain and simple to give Scammy's home boi Pierre a run as a pensioner. Scammy and CWI need to be more transparent and speak the honest truth..don't say you resting him when the truth is you want to drop him.

I was about to come for you on this point, but I see you've clarified you meant T20Is and posted the stats to back it up. But I've noticed in the recent past, selectors have used CPL performances as a metric for selection, why has that changed now? Johnson Charles, Roston Chase, Jayden Seales, et al. were all selected for WI T20I based CPL performances. Motie's last 7 CPL matches yielded 12 wickets (including a 5 fer) at an average of 14.62, yet they say there is "a dip in form"...

I just hate the hypocrisy with West Indies. CPL form favours some but not others.

You don;t embarrass a senior player by not selecting him for some series when it suits you,.....not explaining why he is not playing or claiming you are resting him....OR selecting him to play in some matches but he is the 5th or 6th bowler in the team or not allowing him to complete his spell......as a senior bowler he now has no defined role in the bowling attack ....you expect such a player to be confident

Picked based on one decent season in the CPL for T20Is and ODIs... will most likely be in the test squad soon too.

A youth who is yet to score a ton will be an all format player soon based on one decent season in the CPL... 😀
