A great day in Nelson, lovely conditions with the ground looking in great shape. 65m and 68m square boundaries, 75m straight boundary. This pitch was dug up during Covid, looking at the colour, there should be plenty of runs. Nice grass cover, it's soft and nice, reckon Ian Bishop and Shane Bond, in their pitch report

Conway and Tim Robinson are at the crease.
Conway is on strike.
Akeal Hosein will open the attack

0.1

Akeal Hosein to Conway, 1 run, flighted delivery on middle and leg, worked in front of square on the on-side and Conway is off the mark with a single

Akeal Hosein to Tim Robinson, FOURcracking shot, tad too short from Hosein - Robinson backs away, opens up the off-side and then places the cut past cover-point, the ball scoots away to the ropes in a hurry

6

Akeal Hosein to Conway, SIXhammered, Conway shimmies down the pitch, gets close to the ball and then swings it high over wide long-on - sends it sailing over the ropes for a maximum

NZ 12-0(1.1)

Devon Conway 7(2)

Tim Robinson 5(4)

Kingie and Seales ok but Chase??

This game is a certain win for the West Indies.

After consecutive golden ducks by Rutherford, he's certain to come good here and garner the MOM award.

Akeal Hosein to Tim Robinson, 3 runs, just over mid-off - the fielder was interested as he ran back, but the ball was always dropping in front of him - was tossed up on off and Tim Robinson went onto the bacl-foot as he punched it off the back-foot - hustles back for the third

Akeal Hosein to Conway, FOURnicely played, tad too straight form Hosein - the drift takes it down and it's helped on its way with the sweep - Conway rolls his wrists and beats backward square leg to his right
