Not everything has to be taught by the coach

In other words, 27 gets a pass this time.

@methodic

In my opinion I would like an Analyst/Tactician instead of a head coach. Plans strategy, and picks the team to execute this plan. We have batting, bowling and fielding coaches who are there to assist if they see things in need of fixing.

A manager!

@methodic

there’s a 3rd choice to go along with

  • poor coach
  • no coach

good coach?

@methodic

It will be hard for young Athanaze and Ackeem Auguste to develop with this group and the format.

If these youngsters want to make money, it would be smart to follow the path of Pooran, Charles, Pollard, Bravo, Russell, Gayle and Hetty.

@methodic

What has the coach actually taught them?

Mon, Nov 10, '25 at 12:41 AM

@openning

I just changing or adding to the role of the head coach, these are skill sets he needs. Just saying coaching on the day of the match is redundant, as what is now required is tactics to beat your opponents.

@openning

Most of those you mentioned played a lot of red ball cricket, I would advise these youngsters to do the same.

If at this point yall dont realize that a coach is not the fix yall really not paying attention

The legends can't fix WI cricket, a coach cant fix WI cricket, the king cant fix WI cricket

The sport is at a level most people dont understand, the amount of skill and know how to be a top team is just not avaliable in the Caribbean.

The overall infrastructure of WI cricket needs to improve and then have talent that can be nurtured, then you'll see something.
