Right. Three overs to go. These two have spent a bit of time at the crease as well. Can WI go past 150? Duffy to bowl out

Duffy to Shepherd, OUT
in the air again, and taken this time! Hard length outside off and Shepherd wants to repeat the dose from earlier in the over. He swings at it with all his might but shanks this terribly. Off the bottom part of the blade and the ball swirls towards long on, where Neesham runs in and does the rest. Shepherd departs after a brisk cameo, and that has taken WI to the brink of 140!

did that carry?! Full marks for the effort! Back of a length outside off. Shepherd throws the kitchen sink at it and slices it towards sweeper cover. Robinson hurtles in, and seems to catch it before the ball pops out as he tumbles to the ground. Robinson will feel he let one go there!

fetch that too, says Romario Shepherd! Back of a length outside off and this just sits up. Shepherd picks the slower one too and obliterates it over long on!

six more for Shepherd! Banged into the track outside off. Shepherd has a swipe across the line and even though this is a bit of a top edge, the ball carries well over the fine leg fence!

Brainless again, hit Duffy for 2 sixes and should have seen him off. No, Shepherd tries to hit every ball for 6 after being dropped the ball before!

Neesham to Seales, OUT
Seales tries to go big, and he only finds Mitchell in the ring! Full just outside off. Seales, with mid off up, fancies his chances, but comes up second-best. Right off the toe-end and Mitchell, circling to his right from mid off, sends Seales packing. West Indies bowled out for 140, and bundled out with eight balls remaining in their innings!

fargin iceholes...
not even the thought to bat out the innings...
it belies our blasted stereotypical accusations of being a brainless bunch..

Stupid from the men! Shepherd's innings was a mixed one but it did give some impetus to the score. The manner of his dismissal was ridiculous and he should have been there with Springer to see out the overs. However, he did the job which was expected of him. 3-1 to NZ as expected
Sometimes I wonder if the coach advises some of the batters on their way out to bat, Seales should have been told to leave the scoring to Springer
3pm And, we are back. NZ with a series win in sight. Robinson on strike, with Conway at the other end. Forde has the new ball. 141 to get - here we go. Well, not quite, because Forde opts against releasing the ball having gotten through his delivery stride. We go again!
2:50pm Well, that was a strange innings. WI lost four wickets inside the first three overs, and that left them reeling. Chase and Powell then stitched together a stand, with Holder then doing more of the heavy lifting with Chase. Shepherd also got a few hits away towards the end and that has gotten WI up to 140, although that score, at this stage, seems a little way off where they would have wanted to be.
NZ will be pleased with their efforts. Duffy set the tone early and then returned later in the innings to remove the dangerous-looking Shepherd. The rest of the bowlers chipped in throughout, with each bowler (used by NZ) among the wickets. This looks like a routine chase, but NZ will be mindful of the assistance and bounce the WI bowlers could get too. Join us in a bit for the second innings!
Jacob Duffy: (Pleased him most) Getting wickets in the powerplay helps the team. They bat deep. Getting a bit of shape is key for me and bringing the stumps into play. (On if having local knowledge of the conditions helps) Little bit, yeah. A bit moist and a bit tacky (the surface). Sometimes, you find the bounce is a little tough, especially here in Dunedin. (On the score) Historically, 140 is probably a little short. A beautiful summer's day (smiles), good day for bowling, so we will see.
The difference, they took the return catch and we nicked those swinging deliveries.
