West Indies have won the toss and have opted to field

Shai Hope: We will bowl first, don't think the conditions will change much but as we saw in the T20Is, we will get more with the ball upfront. Assessing the conditions is very important in New Zealand. We have to make sure we give our best efforts to qualify for the World Cup automatically. John Campbell is coming in and Shamar Springer is making his debut.

Santner: It looks like a very good wicket, there's also a bit of grass so I guess it will play well. We have got four seamers playing today.

Yeah!

Pitch Report: There is usually a lot of grass on the surface, but it is lighter in colour today. That might create a bit more pace and bounce. Average winning score is 307, and that indicates as much. 65m and 85m square boundaries, so there is a big bias. 80m hit straight down the ground.
