29 off 58 and 32 off 67

you batting during a powerplay

you have to set a foundation

foundation is runs too; not only wickets in hand

@Halliwell

Spot on!

You can't blame them, the way things going every man jack trying to keep his place on the team ... wins are secondary.

60 partnership off 108 balls is disgraceful though ....

Sun, Nov 16, '25 at 2:52 PM

@Kay

And the West Indies only got the scorecard they did because the Kiwis dropped five catches of their own.

I doubt that's going to happen again.

@Halliwell

Athanaze and Carthy did not lose that if you were watching you would have seen the difficulty in negotiating the new ball, at least they give the middle and lower order a chance. Shepherd is losing these games, 26 off 19 at that time is very poor

@Halliwell

😂

@Wasp

Go figure. You are so right.

Some of you either weren’t watching the game or are getting carried away by emotions. I’ve been critical of Athanaze, especially, but these guys can’t be blamed for our failure this time.

They handled some steep bounce from Jamieson and good pace and movement from Henry. Their job was to soften the ball, and once they did, batting became much easier.

Yes, they could’ve rotated the strike a bit more, but I wouldn’t blame them for the result. The two dropped catches off Mitchell were far more crucial.

We could have easily been 50 for 4..

Well here you go

Conway and Rachin

it’s possible to rotate strike, soften the ball, handle pacers and still move the score along

who’d have thought it possible…stewwwps
