Daryl Mitchell ruled out of second ODI

Mon, Nov 17, '25 at 1:44 AM
Daryl Mitchell won't be travelling to Napier for the second One-Day International against West Indies after suffering discomfort in his thigh during Sunday's encounter. He will instead undergo scans on his left groin in Christchurch, which will likely determine his availability for the rest of the series, New Zealand Cricket stated in a release.
Mitchell experienced discomfort in his thigh while scoring his seventh ODI century in New Zealand's seven-run win over West Indies at Hagley Oval and did not return to the field for the second innings

Well, a relief for the WI but hopefully he recovers soon, however will Shepherd also miss the next match because of his groin injury?

@dayne

Also thinking about Sheppie cause if he goes that will be a huge miss for us. But then we may have to bring in Jangoo, but will be a bowler short. Or we bring in Pierre but do we need another spinner? A lot of questions to be answered by tomorrow.
