this time around. So says Mia Motley, as the others in the equation would unite to ensure that that Arithmetic fails. And, the Caribbean must remain a zone of peace, as long as the selfish motives of regional opportunists and their northern numbskull bully. Both the northern bully, and his newly acquired puppet, must practice the art of looking within to discover the problems that confront their respective countries. Constantly looking at and blaming others is the cause of their downfall. The deflections, as they fail to come up with sound solutions to tackle their internal problems, such deflections have only temporary value, and would soon wane. In the words of Brother Valentino, "rastafari ain't taking that one, down with the basin plan in the Caribbean." Bombing innocent fishermen is not the answer to this question.
One from 10 would not equal zero
@Besar
This is so well put: it captures the current state of affairs perfectly. There are none as blind as those that refuse to see.

@granite
You fergats over 5,000 murders in the past decade, but it's a zone of peace.
A decade of blaming the UNC, and the dimwit in retirement is still doing it.
A new government that is left with an empty treasury, but they want immediate solutions...
I am still waiting to hear of one solution that the previous government implemented.
Sorry, million-dollar pension...
just 😀
This I thought I had posted 3 or 4 weeks ago. I went on to post something else, and was surprised it was not posted before.
@Besar

Nobody cares to mention the empty Treasury and that bull head Rowley with Ministers having the brains of a flea,I name them as Faris al Rawi,Fitzgerald Hinds,Imber tand Sinanan.Imbert couldn't say what happened to 2.6 B $$$.They siphoned TT dry and could do nothing but talk and chat shyte.Their opposition work is like dumbos not knowing how to even oppose,let them stay right there for 10 years.They call KPB drunkard,shouldn't they be ashamed that a drunkard gave Rowley and his teefing gang a proper cutarse,what a drunkard.They should start drinking some Puncheon Rum.Let them hold on tight to Maduro kiss his backside.
@granite
…Williams went on to denounce the Trinidadian advocates of “an Indian nation” as “the recalcitrant and hostile minority of the West Indian nation masquerading as ‘the Indian nation’ and prostituting the name of India for its selfish, reactionary political ends.” This was arguably, the most controversial and criticized speech that Eric Williams delivered during his long political career
Did you read what the dimwit noted about Eric...
Thievery began during his tenure in office. Prevat, O'Halloran bagmen for the PNM.
She is fcking clueless.😡
@sgtdjones
I had to wonder if they were to young to know that or maybe they were not interested in politics.They must think that people are foolish,I read about all that teefing in a British Newspaper.I see that Ms Mia Mottley has become the the Queen of the West Indies,like she governing I.5 million people in lil piece ah rock.😆
@Besar
How do you know they are bombing innocent fishermen,you are very clear in your stance against KPB and her government.I have done some reading and the USA don't just bomb any boat they see,they are well aware of the routes the narcoterrorists take and where they are leaving from,the boats are not fishing boats and easily out run the big us boats,they have high powered cameras and clearly see the tarporlins covering the packages of drugs,they are longer than fishing boats and are full of speed,50 ks an hour.I don't care to read anymore because I have seen a chase and feel they (USA) are targetting the right people.The 2 Trinis who were killed Samaroo and Joseph were not just fishermen they wer also in drugs and ammunition, ,Joseph already had a charge,caught with drugs.When these fellas get caught dem always turn out to be nice boys,well that na go help,many fishermen in TT in Cedros say the a lot of fishermen in TT are into drugs and ammunitions,so talk about that to.I get the feeling that most posts about KPB are upset that the UNC has beaten the PNM and is hurt by that,you all seem to be backing Maduro the new Papa Doc Du Vallier,this time from South America.How could anyone back a dictator where 9000000 of his citizens has fled his rule.
Usual comments from the posters representing a party that wants to make TnT a Hindu state. A colony of India. According to them: afro Trinis: have no brain (flea-brain), poor (they go eat grass) and must never hold on to the reins of government . Hence in a few short weeks they have fired literally any non-indo in managment positons in state corporations ( "if they hair eh straight and they in management they must be PNM"). Dismantled the majority of training programs targeted at disadvantaged communities and put over 50000 lower income workers on the breadline.
They had all the answers in an election campaign based on a tissue of lies.
This unsurprisingly has turned out so far to be the most inept and racist government in the region.
@sgtdjones
Eric Williams - the recalcitrant and hostile minority
The statement attributed to Willaims most often quoted out of context by members of the UNC to try and paint Williams, the PNM and even afro-trinis in general as racist. It is dishonest and deliberately quoted to arouse a particular reaction.
The statement "recalcitrant and hostile minority" was indeed made by Dr. Eric Williams in a speech in April 1958. The true context is that he was referring specifically to a group of local Indian activists who advocated for a separate "Indian nation" within Trinidad and Tobago, which he viewed as a threat to national unity and the broader West Indian nation, not all Indo-Trinidadians generally.
Context of the Statement
Date and Setting: Williams made the speech, titled "The Danger facing Trinidad, Tobago and the West Indian Nation," at Woodford Square in Port-of-Spain shortly after the Federal Elections of March 1958.
Targeted Group: In his speech, Williams was addressing those local activists who promoted a separatist "Indian nation" identity over a unified West Indian nationalism. He explicitly contrasted them with what he called the "true Indian nation" in India, which he described as progressive and invested in interracial solidarity. The full quote denounced them as, "the recalcitrant and hostile minority of the West Indian nation masquerading as 'the Indian nation' and prostituting the name of India for its selfish, reactionary political ends".
Controversy and Misinterpretation: This statement became one of the most controversial of his career and has often been taken out of context over the years. Critics have frequently used it to allege that Williams was referring to all Indo-Trinidadians, an interpretation that his supporters and some historians argue is a misrepresentation of his actual words and intentions.
In summary, the statement is true, but its original context was a specific political disagreement over national identity and political activism, not a blanket condemnation of the entire Indo-Trinidadian population.
@notinsular
Eric was taken out of context also about his "cowshed comments"...
Ever wonder why he committed suicide?... Oh that's out of context also.
How did his party treat the muslims that were loyal?...out of context also.
How did his daughter become so wealthy?...ahhhhhh nutting!!!
