President of Guyana, H.E. Dr. Irfaan Ali and Prime Minister of Barbados, Hon. Mia Mottley, have committed to supporting the Hurricane Melissa recovery process through shelter relief and restoration.

Prime Minister, Dr. The Most Hon. Andrew Holness, outlined the commitments made by these CARICOM Heads of Government while he was joined by a CARICOM delegation on a tour of affected Western communities on Monday (November 17).

The Prime Minister added that the Government is finalising the purchase of modular homes, with the first batch to be distributed to residents in Westmoreland Eastern and its surrounding areas facing challenges due to the weather system.
