Kiwis win the toss and will bat first

Tue, Nov 18, '25 at 10:34 PM

New Zealand have won the toss and have opted to field

Shai Hope; (On this being a 34-overs per side game) Yes, 34 overs but obviously wanted to bowl first as well but we have to bat well now. Must give credit where it's due but it's important for us that we solidify our top-order in these conditions. The guys are really confident, coming into NZ, we had really close game. Today it's another opportunity for us to do well, the conditions will be difficult and we need to adapt. One change for us - Auguste comes in for Alick.
Mitchell Santner: We will have a bowl. Exactly those points Mark, when there's rain around, you are really not sure what to chase. The way WI lineup they are never really out of the game, we have to be clinical at the death. (On who is replacing the injured Mitchell) Chapy (Chapman) is coming back in, he's got a really good ODI record.

So, we have confirmation that play will start at 5pm local time. It will be a 34-overs game per side. Here's more about the revised conditions: Four bowlers can bowl a maximum of seven overs each while one bowler can bowl a maximum of six overs. The first powerplay will be there for the first seven overs.

Matt Henry to John Campbell, 2 runs, oh, that's audacious! Pitched up around off, swinging away, John Campbell goes for the slog sweep over mid-wicket but doesn't middle it but still gets it over the infield. A couple results

I think by now Athanaze would of done score at least one run

Matt Henry to Ackeem Auguste, FOUR,  streaky but counts! On a length, seaming away, Ackeem Auguste tries to chop it square of the wicket but gets a thick inside edge past his stumps and through to the fine leg fence
