To all ah Unnuh.
Jangoo is being mistreated!
VOR time at the crease for Campbell inODI for tests is a poor reason when you need to win ODI's. Thanks for calling out the BS politics proffered about why he isn't being picked. Hope's greater achievement is being the 1st to ton up vs all full member opponents. That makes him a great, especially since so many of those tons were made overseas.
@granite
that would be the saddest day for WI cricket if that is the cause. i agree that Campbell needs some playing time. The question is who is his best partner. Jangoo is miles ahead of Auguste, who does not even have a first class or List A century to his name. Auguste, who has shown some promise, should be back home playing Super 50 and developing his skill. If the decision makers decide that Jangoo is not good enough, he should have been sent home with King and let him contribute to TT winning yet another Super50 title which may be pretty much inevitable especially at home. I agree that Jangoo can potentially be a very good ODI player for WI and together with Hope, Ruthers, Carty can form a good middle order if all are in form.
@Brerzerk
Kool, but I can see why they need to play Campbell, he need to be prepared for the test series.
@voiceofreason
You see what I told you guys about Hope and the w/keeping.
We batted first ?? They have an analyst on tour why can’t he and Sammy not see that whenever WI bats first Hope scores heavily ,but when he has to wicket keeps and bats his scores are low .
Some might argue that he did this throughout his ODI career,but he is now 32 yrs plus he has the burden of captaincy .
The above also applies to Test matches . He scored a century in his last Test when Imlach was given the gloves.
When Shai made 100 in each inns against England some 8 years ago i really thought he was another great in the making but his test form fell away big time through technical deficiencies....but there is no doubting at this point stats wise he has to be considered an Odi great ..an i believe his mediocre mid twenties test average will improve but at 32 maybe too late become to become the all format (tests/ODI's) great he could an should have been!
