I like Anderson, he has a 40 plus avg, but he looks completely out of it against the Aussie attack. On Mason and guest Basil Butcher stated that he is not ready and needs to work on his game.

I believe it is premature to drop King after 8 test innings, when in one of those inning he did score a well composed 75 against the best bowling attack in the World. I believe he was injured in India why he did not play the 2nd test? Probably missed out as that was a good batting strip.

I do not know what Sammy was thinking , but Pittman might have been a better selection than Shields if he was thinking about the future, Pittman even has a better first-class average per wicket than Shields and he is much younger
