@Jumpstart

They are bunch of nobodies. No FC experience to talk of.

@Jumpstart

Whoever they are, they just provided our batters with some confidence and time out in the middle.

I don’t see a down side to that.

More like false confidence, scoring runs against such opposition should be taken with a grain of salt, look at how hapless India's batters look against the Saffies vs how they look against the West Indies.

the Kiwis test attack will be 10 times better than these just below fringe players, is this even a first class game????

@hawk

I understand your point and it’s valid.

I maintain that there’s no better preparation for a batter in red ball cricket than to spend extended time at the crease

Some of New Zealand’s rising domestic talent will get an opportunity to take on the West Indies in a two-day warm-up match at Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln University, starting on Wednesday 26 November.

@jacksparrow

Be gentle, no Joseph's greatly weakens our attack.

@Jumpstart

The home sides are not going to give you top notch bowlers in a warm up game days before a test match.

I was on a tour where all the bowlers in a warm up game were part timers who played the game for fun and socializing on Saturday afternoons.

@hawk

The problem with India is that they customized (cook) the wickets to suit their bowlers when playing weaker teams like the WI. They cannot do that for teams with test match bowlers who can take advantage of the cooked pitches.
