We all respect Ian Bishop's knowledge of the game but we must not bury our heads in the sand and pretend that his on air currently in NZ is cricket commentary, far from it.
Mr.Bishop questioned the wisdom of NZ not having a short leg for Shia Hope and immediately after that rant, a short leg was put in place. Mr.Bishop then stated that Shia Hope is uncomfortable dealing with the short pitched ball and wondered why NZ wasn't more aggressive with the short pitch ball to Shia Hope.
At the drinks break the message from Mr.Bishop was relayed to the NZ captain and fast bowlers and immediately after that, persistent use of the short pitch ball to Shia Hope accounted for his downfall. Mr.Bishop claimed he is not a WI commentator but is a commentator from the WI. What arrogance from this man!!!!!!
I think it is time for CWI to cut ties with Mr.Ian Bishop. He can continue to ply his trade with other organizations and cricket networks around the world but please, no more with CWI.
Yes, there are analyst and coaches working for the BlackCaps, let them do their work, they should not be assisted by Ian Bishop who at times tries to sound too smart for my liking.
