NZC us a small cricket board. 3 day test matches does probably cause them rell problems with the broadcasters and the subsequent loss of revenue. is de only answer for why they'd get a lead of 481, the WI were out when their lead was 300.
nz get instructions to take the game into day 4
@Jumpstart
I saw your headline and immediately thought “Ian Bishop strikes again!”
Always giving the opposition tips on how to beat us.
Looks like that wasn’t the case………or maybe it was.
Well, if those were the instructions it makes business sense, as the ground vendors, the TV advertisers, hotels and bars want returns on their investments
@dayne
exactly. nz could have had us done and dusted by the final hour of today, or at least very close yto finishing off the game
@imusic
Don't you think that Bish went too far, he told them what field placement should be made and afterward the NZ made the adjustments.
While listening to the India/ England series the one comm, said that Brook was suspect to short pitch bowling, but he did not set a field for Brook demise.
That may be a gift to WI if the weather brightens up and stays that way drying out the pitch and taming some ball movement. On the other hand WI batters have to all do like Tage and grind it out. No extravagant drives out of frustration! Cut out lofty boundary seeking shots, make it Everton Weekes like along the ground only 😀! Push and prod except for the absolutely bad ball.!
But that may be asking for too much from these impatient batsmen.😟
