My Story of Moving to Grenada from Jamaica -1997

Fri, Dec 5, '25 at 12:16 AM

It's quite a story.....how I ended up in Grenada. One of my most favourite stories to tell, is now on the blog. Check it out.

I recall around 2000 asking friends for feedback about me and one said she thought it was brave of me to pick up my single self and move across the Caribbean.

But to me, it felt like destiny.

(PS, I am in a writing mood these days....as I prepare to celebrate my 60th birthday next year!. Thank you for providing an outlet for me to share my stories. So much more to accomplish in life!)

Nice read!

This is a great example of why one should be a global traveller. Your navel string might be buried somwhere, but your sprit might belong somewhere else 😂

As Jamaicans we have travel within our blood, I believe if you go up to Iceland not only would you find Yardies but possibly a Jamaican restaurant too.

i did my stint throughout the beautiful Caribbean islands, spent significant time in Dominica; Antigua; St. Martens; St. Vincent and the Grenadines; US Virgin Islands; Cayman Islands; even Dominica Republic. I had short visits to other islands including Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Cuba, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts, BVI etc.
