@camos

I am no great fan of Shallow, but I see no reason why he needs to resign in this situation and I have yet to see anybody clearly articulate why he needs to.

@Joshua

Is rescuing the WI from this abyss a mere part time job?

what do the constituents want ( or think they need)? A part time representative?

false comparisons won’t cut it.

Obviously, the guy does not care and is only looking out for himself, CWI needs to remove him from office!

@Halliwell

Actually from a governance standpoint, the worst thing would be if he was meddling in the organization full time every single day.

That is why there is a professional CEO of the organization who is given a salary to run the organization along with the staff and tackle the issues that the cricket is facing.

@camos

Dr.Shallow, thank you! for your services, to cricket WI. I also would like to extend my gratitude, to you, for staying on.

@Joshua

Ok then, if you believe sincerely a CEO’s job is either meddling in the weeds or else part time, then I am unable to continue the discussion.

@Halliwell

Shallow is not the CEO, he is the President which chairs the board.

The CEO of CWI is Christopher Dehring.

@powen001

@Logic

Don’t say we, you will wallow in your hatred, and diabolical realm with your ilks.

The CEO has nowhere near the power of the Chaiman, the chair can get the CEO fired!

Tue, Dec 9, '25 at 3:25 PM

@camos

the topic is not the power of the chair which anyway he cannot unilaterally fire the ceo without the board approval.

The simple fact is that President of CWI is not a full time job so unless somebody can point me to the clear conflict I see no need for him to resign.

Tue, Dec 9, '25 at 3:34 PM

You guys need to Get Real, with regards to this thing.

No West Indian Yuppie is gonna walk away from the position of boss of CWI; regardless of what else he has going on the side.

CWI bosses get the best seats at the venues, they eat good food, drink expensive liquor, stay in posh hotels, HobNob with other ICC bigshots, etc..

Alyuh want that fella to walk away from that…! Seriously..

It’s not about the cricket. That institution is long gone…

Tue, Dec 9, '25 at 3:50 PM

@Joshua

The board needs a fire Shallow, since he won't leave!

Shallow will have time for CWI, a minister's office and a constituency office, without conflict? who goes to ICC meetings?

@camos

Would you have the same concern if a Senior Private Sector executive was President of CWI? The President of CWI has never been a full time job and there has never been an expectation that somebody who has full time employment should not be President of CWI.
