to the expectations. He needs to lift his performances.

Every player go through dry spells what about the batsmen whose dry-spells are permanent?

@Brerzerk

Great players rise to the occasion and moment. If he is going to be a great he needs to leave a print on series like this

Bishop strangely doesn’t have much to say on the matter

@brians_da_best

Seales has to study Marshall. You have to run in and clean up tailenders.

@methodic

generally brainless bowling allround

@methodic

He bowles lots unplayable deliveries, but, in-between he serves up too much garbage

Thu, Dec 11, '25 at 5:55 AM

Seales will be okay....we can ask him to be perfect....

The way he drop his head after the drop catch show a level for frustration

He needs to focus n put such behind him

first poor series. i think he's trying too hard. also, the conbditions have been conducive more to seam movement than swing. maybe that is an element he can add to his game. seam movement is easier skill to master and is a lot more useful

He should have been rested before the tests. Playing the white ball formats, especially kiddie cricket, is too much of a demand for a fast bowler who leads the test attack.

His stats are not great at the midway point of the series, with 4 wkts @ 47 and he has bowled a touch too straight at times. He is, however, one of the best young quicks in the world. Save the knocking for the batsmen who deserve it, not one of the best players to come out of the West Indies for many years.

I have absolutely no issue with Seales even if he hasn't been in and among the wickets. Yes he did go for a few in this last bowl.

The best go thru these periods plus he must be physically and mentally exhausted after so much cricket

Do we think the guys are machines?

I am happy with out bowling stock when I consider the Josephs, Roach and Seales. Greaves seem to be carrying the all-rounder role well. Anderson has been putting up his hand. Sheilds seem to fit right in as Layne continue to learn his craft.

It is now for CWI and management to use the stock correctly and continue to fine the skillsets. In today's age cricket is played like "peas"

absolutely on point on bro ...some of dem talking bare scu*t...banna is 24 who was the finished article at 24 including batsmen???.....some ppl here is overstate success too quickly an by the same token get disappointed in poor performances too quickly....i'm in completely agreement that Jayden seems to be trying too hard an I've noticed at times he's almost running back to his mark ...he's very driven an just needs to relax a touch an it'll come!!

You measure the upcoming best ones against the great ones in similar circumstances. Seales is no MM, but the great Marshall in 3 Tests in NZ had these took 9 wickets for 289 runs. By contrast in 7 matches on home soil he had 36 wickets for775 runs. To date Seales has 4 wickets for 188 runs in 1.5 matches. He is similarly great at wicket taking on home soil. At 24 the young man has just begun his climb to greatness (barring injury).

@Scar

good post

Seales will be okay.

This is the second series in a row he is playing without his counterparts Shamar and Alzarri.

The performance of these two help to make it more competitive.
