Day 2 -- NZ had a terrific time with the bat in the opening day of the third Test yesterday. After choosing to bat on a green deck, their openers, Conway and Latham, respected the conditions early on and then made hay as the ball got older. Latham continued his good form to notch up his second century of the series while Conway was in supelative form. The former was dismissed at the fag end of the day but the latter is still going strong and has a double century in sight. The opening 323-run stand has not only given the hosts a strong base but also the freedom to bat freely today. They will be eyeing to take the game further away from WI. Can the visitors put in an inspired bowling performance and change the flow of the game though? The visitors need to make early inroads or else another long day in the field awaits them.

90.1

Anderson Phillip to Conway, FOUR, onway continues from where he left off! A half-volley outside off from round the wicket, Conway leans towards it and creams the drive past extra cover to find the fence

Jayden Seales to Jacob Duffy, FOUR,  shortish delivery and some room on offer, Jacob Duffy slashes hard at it and it flies off the outer half through the vacant backward point region and races away to the fence

According to Cricinfo, Shai Hope is reportedly and not at the ground. They also state that Roach may have injured his hamstring and seems unable to bowl.

Anderson Phillip to Jacob Duffy, FOUR, just wide of second slip this time! On a driveable length outside off, Jacob Duffy takes the bait and goes for an expansive drive but gets a thick outside edge. The fielder dives to his right but it evades him. It should have gone straight into the hands of third slip if he

@4REALQUICKS

Roach injured? That's the risk you take when you pad your batting, and go into a Test a bowler short.

Seales and Philip bowling.

Duffy out to Seales for 17.

New Zealand 350-2

93.4

Jayden Seales to Jacob Duffy, out Caught by Tevin Imlach!! A good piece of bowling from Jayden Seales gets the better of the nightwatchman! A fuller length delivery on off, shaping in initially but after pitching, it seams away. Jacob Duffy pushes at it tentatively with minimal foot movement and nicks it behind. Tevin Imlach pouches it safely.

NZ 350 /2 (93.4) CRR:3.74

Seales strikes with a nice line & length delivery that does just enough to force the shot from Duffy, who gets an edge behind where Imlach safely gathers the catch.

Reward, at last, for Jayden Seales and the home side are now 350/2 (D.Conway 186*)

New man in is Kane Williamson.

Seales almost gets Williamson cheaply but the edge falls short of the slips due to Williamson playing with soft hands. Good bowling once again from Seales though.

The on-air commentators mention that Kemar Roach won't take the field today as he had a hamstring strain late last night. So, WI will be a bowler short
