I faced Joel in the early 80s in Shell Shield, I couldn’t score a run as he kept it rising on a good length. I went on the back foot and rode out a few but he kept it there pushing me back onto the stumps. It was the same in the late 70s but this time not only couldn’t I score but he constantly got me out. What a bowler!
