Watching that guy bat this morning truly a massive talent.
Bethell is a bigger miss than Archer
@Raggs
That’s like saying Andrew Symonds was a big miss for England or Kevin Pietersen was a big miss for South Africa !😜
It was never a big miss because he was never going to play for tbe wi .i cant understand people cant get that through tbeir thick head .with these constant posts about this.his connection to england runs deep and that is who he wanted to play for
@Raggs
WI rep with white players doh really engender confidence eh…..Brendan Nash, Da Silva etc.
@velo
If we the all conquering team of the 80's/90's he would have damn well put on that maroon hat.
@Raggs
We do. The West Indies is supposed to be a repudiation of the Columbus project in more ways than one. And I don’t think the problem is on the players side. Brendan Nash was a well integrated member of Chris Gayle’s(OD) side, possibly the most united WI team since the 80s
@Raggs
Funny enough he is the epitome of a 80’s/90’s player as he started his career in the WI and then got to polish off in England which is what our players are certainly missing these days!!!
@WIfan26
he went to boarding school in England at around 12 YEARS OLD to ‘polish off’?
@Halliwell
he played u15 for Bim, he went around 15 plus to England. He was a member of Franklyn Stevenson Academy for many years.
@Halliwell
@Jumpstart
I don't mind his and Archer's choices as it was the other way around for CGG who we benefitted from tremendously. We never said a peep about Defrietes, Small, Lewis and Headley because compared to our talents then they were mediocre at best. Syd and Dev a lil different. I cheer for Archer and Bethell when they aren't playing vs us
@Brerzerk
exactly
i don't begrudge them at all. at least english cricket is mostly merit based, and of full of the political toxicity that has enveloped wi cricket since the destruction of gayle's team. both bethell and archer would have come into that had they pursued a career with the WI.
