Warrican can't be captain when he won't play in some games. They wanted Hope to be captain from the start but I think he does not want to give up T20 money for that.

Warrican is like Chase and would not be on the team based on merit alone. However this never stopped Chase from being picked as Captain even after the 27 all out.
