@mikesiva

enriching demselves is the only American doctrine.

there is history here.

@Besar

Nuff ppl don't realize that when countries like Cuba, Vene, Columbia flex muscle (rhetoric) vs neighbors it is really aimed at discomforting Murca who actually took the fuss lick by destabilizing them. Hard-line measures vs opposition is also their way of preserving their power.

Question- If US destroys your economy, even burn old woman to death then you lose election, did you lose because of foreign intervention?

@DukeStreet

I wish it was so simplistic. How recently I mentioned Allende right here.

A change of regime Venezuela is 10 times better for the region than current.

The so-called bully Trump has brought much stability to this entire planet.

That is fact!

This current action will ameliorate current economic issues as did his last term. Don't say it wasn't so because I have first hand experience.. Now, I have already started to benefit where it counts - my bank account

That is fact

@InHindsight

Word is some small islands accepting refugees for visas!😜

@Chrissy

This one is a slippery slope on how to approach...which is definitely what he/they intended. Praise the liberation, and you're supporting the action, but more importantly, question the legitimacy of the action, and you're not supportive of the liberation of Venezuela.

I am however happy for the people of Venezuela who will hopefully get a better life as a result of this.

Mon, Jan 5, '26 at 5:38 PM

@eXodus

what liberation? One man's abduction/detention does not liberation make. The world is going backwards! 50plus yrs ago Jamaica's win in court established a precedent that established the rights of resource rich developing countries to negotiate ownership and reasonable profit from their resources. Now, a country's leader is being told do as I say i.e. give away your resources to big corp or we will kill you.

@Brerzerk

Frame it to suit you bruh.

You know well

Mon, Jan 5, '26 at 11:24 PM

You know what's even more frightening is when you realise that on top of everything else, there really is no plan. They got Maduro but it's clear there was no clear plan beyond get Maduro.

Tue, Jan 6, '26 at 12:08 AM

@InHindsight

Please dispute the facts I stated. I posit there's even less freedom in Vene now thanks to crackdowns. Maybe even the current leadership betrayed Maduro but cracking down on their people to pretend otherwise and Rubio and Co. don't give a hoot so long as they can cosplay power.

"Illegical invasion and capture of"

Same silly talking points of the Dems, which is patently false.

At this time I will not even attempt to point out the demerits of this falsehood. Rather go examine the facts..

Some people should know better, some naively repeat the nonsense and others are plain hypocrites.

Opposing just because it's a certain president.

Silliness continues

@InHindsight

Forget it...it's not worth my precious time.

No. They have a plan. The plan is to privatize the oil resources into the ownership of U.S. oil companies.
