Trump Said He Wants More Nordic Immigrants

Mon, Jan 5, '26 at 9:08 AM

A Norwegian man replies with an epic response.

The benefits package is terrible. You offer two weeks of vacation if we are lucky; we get five. Your maternity leave is 'good luck,' while we get a year. Your healthcare plan is GoFundMe, while ours is free. And your safety plan is just 'thoughts and prayers.'

"Moving to the US right now feels like leaving a spa to go work in a burning hot dog stand. Thanks, but we will stay in the snow."

You should show BeatD what that Norwegian socishit is saying.

But then again that's aA White Christian Socishit so it may make a difference.

@Brerzerk

After living in Sweden, I could have told BeatDBall that. The only people from Scandinavia who seek to move to the USA are the ones who want to try their luck at becoming mega rich (a multimillionaire), and those who don't mind becoming obese.

Other than that, they might go for a little vacation during the good amount of vacation time they get. And even then, maybe just a week or two out of it.

@Casper

What point do you think you're making? By emphasising the high standard of living in Scandinavian countries, and by implication, the people responsible for it, you're actually supporting Trump's view that immigrants from there would be likely to thrive and benefit America.

@KTom

Question: Has Norway been destabilised by the USA?

Next question: Do you know the 'bumkins' in some of these countries and how they (don't) benefit those countries?

@JahJah

Is it your argument that all societies in the world would be practically equal in wealth, development, etc., barriing natural disasters or ecological constraints, if America or some other colonial power hadn't destabilised or impoverished them?

But even if I conceded that hypothesis, it still wouldn't make sense for America to operate a practically open door immigration policy.

Are you arguing that the logical corollary of Trump's policy to invite intelligent and/or skilled immigrants should be to deport American citizens on the left side of the Bell Curve? Surely the first is a more practicable policy.

@Brerzerk

You are typing lots of bullshit! Ask the reverse also.

Would America and European powers have the wealth they do if many of them did not benefit from 400yrs of free, skilled labor? Would they be as knowledgeable in even basic metallurgy to the level of the then enslaved? Real question is what point are you trying to make?

no scandanavian person is going leave a wealthy state of free healthcare,low taxes , great free education sysyem to live in dysfunction . i noticed he did not ask the eastern europeans they too ghetto and poor for him

The sources of European/American wealth are essentially twofold:

a) industrial production methods born of scientific/technological/cultural revolutions;

b) the energy to run such economies, i.e., discovery/development of hydrocarbon and nuclear fuels.

Whilst Britain and America are the two most important countries in this regard, other European peoples contributed to some degree, of course. Other parts of the world benefitted in their wake.

@KTom

I guess the cotton, gin, light bulb, live -saving medicine, vast source of labor, Imported knowledge (gun-powder, grain agri, mining and working with metals, millinery) are all and wholly European innovations.

White Supremacy!!!!

An excellent point. That is precisely why the Southern States seceded from the Union and defended their territory and the institution of slavery in Civil War.
