Pollard looked a fine prospect with the new ball. His pace, bounce and general aggressive approach tested the young English batsmen - it was good to see.
Dore and Andrew should do well, they have plenty of talent.
The problem is the next step...moving to first class cricket in the region, they need to be playing better players on better wickets, over a shorter format - then, the best players need to move onto an annual Headley-Weekes type of arrangement, pitting the best of the region against each other. This, along with a much expanded A team schedule, should be the way forward.
Basically, it is about not letting youngsters become comfortable making runs on dead tracks against sub-standard attacks. They need to be tested and tested again, playing against the best to force the cream to the top - then, put them up against A teams in different conditions. The experience and standard will do them good.
