The man simply cannot bat.

I am talking about Johnson Charles.

Vooping is not batting...and it's not even educated vooping.. Are we that bone dry that we cannot find another T20 player to replace the vooper.

Aren't we tired of doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results?

He can score a million runs this match he should not be considered on any West Indies team.

People have been saying that for 15 years, but Charles keeps on going, sometimes he scores, most times he does not. He will make the WC squad as the back-up w/keeper as Jangoo is not a hitter. The Selector should start looking at Boucher for the T20 back-up w/keeper, he can score quickly.

@dayne

Anybody but Charles.

Lady luck has given him longevity.

Johnson Charles shouldn't be on the WI team at this time.

That said....I have some time for Johnson Charles.

He is what he is. He knows it. Bowlers know it. His coach knows it. Everyone knows it.

Uncomplicated. Agricultural.

Yet, he had the awareness and ability to augment his game later on in his career with the addition of the reverse sweep to his limited repertoire.

In his prime, he was among the best and most reliable outfielders on the team.

And he's a 2 time World Cup winner.

Thank you for your service Johnson Charles.

@imusic

Johnson Charles' retoolng came too late in his career.

He has been very fortunate to make a living out of cricket.

Can't argue with this. Joe Root has none.

St Lucia was grabbing at straws, it was too early to honour Charles in that way, from the eye test Auguste has the talent to be a better international player than Charles

@dayne

Johnson Charles exceeded expectation to make it at international level lady luck or not. We know he is not blessed with an abundance of talent.

Ackeem's parents have invested quite a lot of resources in his cricketing future. I have no doubt he will deliver.

Madness should be defined as when we start rewarding abject failure.

Johnson Charles given a spot on a current T20 World Cup squad...madness.

Whilst Charles’s cricketing career is still being written, the book is closed on you. Title “Blank Pages “.

@Edrich

I seek absolutely no validation from anyone. This is how confident I am about myself.

I am in absolute bewilderment and bafflement as to Johnson Charles' appointment on a current day World Cup T20.West Indies side.
