@SnoopDog

an interesting factoid about ambrose. Lara was destroying county attacks in 1994. 7 hundreds in 8 innings. i think the 3rd of those hundreds was against Northants, which was curtly's club. lara scored 197 off 194 deliveries in the game but could only muster 12 off the 45 balls(including 38 dots) ambrose bowled to him, which also included him being pinged by a bouncer.

I will say Malcom Marshall was the Best ever!

However I will always have to mention Sir Curtly Elcon Lynwall Ambrose as my favorite fast bowler!

special mention also to Courtney Andrew Walsh not the greatest but surely the fittest....has there ever been a fast bowler who bowled more overs than he an stayed fitter for longer....nope!!

Come on people,

Why do people nowadays have a problem with grammar.

The topic is the G.O.A.T

Malcolm is the G.O.A.T

Feel free to have a favourite player, by there can only be one G.O.A.T.

Lots of people did not see Sir Garfield Sobers play,

thus try to put Jaque Kallis as the best.

Although it is hard to determine all time greatness with different eras

Marshall is the pace bowling G.O.A.T

@SnoopDog

Bro, I love Ambi too.

However he is not even the 2nd best behind Macco.

Do not forget Dennis Lillee.

Favourite does not mean best.

@Trex

Well said bro.

@CCW

Special mention is well earned.

Again, one of my favourites.

However not in the G.O.A.T category.

I actually missed over ten thousand dollars just to meet Walsh.

I had a line of sports betting (in Bermuda)

and had a choice to go to airport to meet Walsh off the plane or

go to the betting shop and place my bet.

At that time, I was a Narcotics Sergeant, and worked at the airport.

I chose to go and meet Walsh and shook his hands.

I have large hands and mine fitted like a toy in Walsh's.

By the time I went the airport and went to place my bet, I had to leave off the games that had started.

All of the teams won. I ended up with a fraction of the earning had I got to the shop on-time.

For those who don't know, the permutation system gives you bigger odds, for the higher number of games that you bet on.

Walsh played in a couple of game for the Jamaica Association, who invited him here.

I missed the games, as I was injured, during his visit.

The friendliness or Walsh was incredible.

He was/is an amazing guy.

He acted as an ambassador, mentor and friend to all. Plain down to earth guy.

I love him. (agape love)

Walsh was, is and will always be one of my favourite cricketers. The stamina that man had. The improvement throughout the years. At the end of his career, he was still looking as if he had a few more years in the tank. Continually underrated but definitely up there as a WI great player.

Ambrose is also a phenom... Great bowler as well.

Unfortunately I never saw Maco bowl live. But I did see one Curtly Ambrose. And he is by far and away my all time favourite fast bowler.

respect Macco but Holding is the Goat the only bowler in the history of cricket to make the opposition surrender and wave a white flag.

Macco had a great skill set in terms of movment with the ball and skiddy pace

People the world over came to watch Holding bowl the purest smoothest and fastest ever he dropped a master class at the Mecca to Boycott which is still talked about to this day

Ambrose great bowler Garner better

Honourable mention to Andy Roberts the Daddy of them all

Walsh had maccos' skill set and more stamina than all combined
