@CCW

To be honest, I never thought Shepherd was in the top 5 bowlers (wickets) until it was posted during the match!

He is far from the finished product, but kudos to him for moving up to no.3 on the list!

Which WI bowler took a hat trick today

Sat, Feb 7, '26 at 9:44 AM

@StumpCam

Indeed but you was pushing a S/R agenda (Shep better than Holder an Hussain).....so i guess you would prefer a bowler picking up a wicket or two in his 4 overs an going for 40 rather than taking no wickets fuh 30 in 4!!

@StumpCam

an a top list at dat!!😀

@anthonyp

i'm on your side.

Common logic, as well as analysis would suggest that a wicket taking bowler, even with a high economy rate can be more effective for a team's chances of victory than a purely economical one.

A SR of 16.5 is one wicket per T20.

Sat, Feb 7, '26 at 10:01 AM

I got this from AI:

"...While traditional metrics like wickets are useful, T20 is a format where the primary goal is often to choke the batting side, making run prevention more valuable than just taking wickets..."

I didn't have to consult any A! though...logic dictates this.

Adil Rashid's SR is 19 but his econony R is 7.4. Adil will win you more matches anyday in T20 as compared Shep.

This is common logic.

@Courtesy

A SR of 16.5 is one wicket per T20.

Well, he has taken 80wickets in (69 inngs) 75 matches!😂

Maybe you can use your superior intellect to calculate his overall value to the team compared to Holder and Hosein, since their S/R is marginally better!😜

Sat, Feb 7, '26 at 10:23 AM

@StumpCam

Unless you want to compute a fraction of a wicket.

24 balls divided by a SR of 16.5 =1.45 wickets.

Computing 2 wickets per innings...In 69 innings he should have taken 138 wickets.

@StumpCam

This has been posted here upteens times by your humble servant.

Bro, I'm not the one making up stats to support Shepherd! I'm only reposting what has already been established! Those are the facts!

You're expending way too much energy on meaningless gibberish!

Sheperd is not in a vacuum by himself. Post the comparative stats to his teammates and lets see the real picture. But you already know the answer. You just want to display your superior intelligence!

Sat, Feb 7, '26 at 10:38 AM

@StumpCam

And you think a comparative analysis with weak arse West India bowlers is a useful exercise? I DO NOT.

Sat, Feb 7, '26 at 10:46 AM

@Courtesy

I already acknowledged that everyone can do better!

My point is you keeping disparaging Shepherd, when Holder is no better with 100 wkts in 90 matches!

What does that equate to 1.1 wpm??😂😂

Sat, Feb 7, '26 at 10:48 AM

@StumpCam

Bro, don't start making up stuff. Point me to where I disparaged Shepherd?

@Courtesy

Walk good my brother! It's been a while since I've been this engaged given the state of West Indies cricket!
